They suck...RBC was purchased by PNC in our area and I have hated them from the start. They closed an accessible downtown branch and they only have two branches in our area now. Ridiculous. Also I got a mini statement from the AtM and they charged me for it. 3rd they hold onto your $$ when they should just credit it to you right away (i.e. checks) if they have a check reader. I mean believe me the supermarket get's paid right away right? I hate them...

PNC is a terrible bank. I just found this forum online and I have to say I agree with all of the continents a hundred percent. I was signed up 4 automatic check when I was down to my last batch, mind you I never signed myself up for this feature.the checks were then sent to an old address, but I had already updated my more recent address on their website nearly a year prior. so to my surprise I find out the checks were sent to the old address and I call PNC for assistance. Right off the bat they did not want to help or reimburse me for their error. They said something to the effect of upgrade your account and... Will reimburse you. I wasn't falling for it, and said look this is your error why don't you reimburse me for your mistake. the answer I got all three times I called was sorry there's really nothing we can do for you. I have been with PNC since 2005, back when they were Bank Atlantic. I have never received such poor customer service. I called a few more times and got a different answer from every single person I spoke with, one of them promised to refund my money back for the first batch of checks which I never got, but that refund never came through. So I called again and spoke with a third person who said that the refund was declined and he would be escalating my case, so I got a call today from the escalation Department who said yes yes yes that's our fault and finally gave me my money back for the checks THEY sent to a wrong address. Unfortunately when I spoke with a rep previously he decided to cancel all of my checks, not just the ones that went to the wrong address, so I tried to pay my daycare fee and I was charged a fee which they will not reimburse me for. So now I'm being told I have to go into a PNC Bank which is now only open from 9 to 5, the hours that I'm working, and dispute why I shouldn't pay these fees which were caused by incompetent members of this Bank. The rep so I spoke with cancelled all of my checks, including the ones I had on my person, and ones that were sent to a wrong address. They recognize their error but said that there was nothing they could do for me other than refund me the first batch of checks that were sent to the wrong address, in their own error. I am absolutely going to be switching banks here very soon. I really hope they don't give me a whole bunch of extra charges to close my account, but they are just the worst bank. I have been with PNC since they were Bank Atlantic for about 11 years now, and this is the way they treated me.

Within the course of a few days, the balance of my PNC auto loan jumped approx $800 and the collections dept started calling me, even though I had no late payments and had actually been overpaying. No one I spoke to at PNC could seem to understand that I was looking at my account online, I could see all my payments had posted, so they referred me to the escalations dept. After I hadn't heard from them in 4 days, I called and was told that I had made what they considered a partial payment in Sept 2014 (it's May 2016, btw) and basically my account had been a month behind since then and "it all caught up". I had never received any notification of a partial payment, a late payment, or any fees for the past 2 effing years!!! And the "partial payment" they're talking about was because I had overpaid in the months prior so much that my payment due was lowered and that month I decided to just pay that instead of my usual extra amount. I have filed complaints against PNC with the PA Attorney General, BBB, Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, Consumer Finance dept of the US Treasury, and basically any other banking regulating agency and suggest anyone who has a problem with PNC or any other bank do the same. We are closing all of our accounts with PNC and refinancing our loans with another bank.
