It was national city bank before it was PNC and before that it was Dollar bank. I an account with Dollar bank a long time ago. Everything was great until 2014. Then one day my debt card got rejected so I went over to the bank where they knew me well and asked why. The lady opened up my account on her computer and said ,oh there's alot of suspicious activity. There were about 20 charges ,some as small as 5 dollars , many periodical charges like net zero internet. So my account was either hacked ,or crossed with another account. They replaced the 250 dollars but two weeks later rejected my claim and took the money back. When I asked Shelly to help me , she laughed in my face. I went to the police. I took a detective to the bank and he got a list of all the transactions that were suspicious, the bank pres at first refused but the detective made him give up the info.
I then got a nasty phone call from some investigator, He insisted I made ana error. I told him to do his fucking job and hung up. Then I got a call from a lady named Judy who said she was the boss. Then I got an email that said my online banking privileges were revoked because of suspicious activity and it even gave me the IP address ! My account had been closed for two months by then and I never online banked when I was a PNC customer. I do now though. So after about six months I began calling the number that Judy gave me because they sent me a letter offering me 50 dollars to settle. I called the number every morning before work said my name account number and that I wanted my 250 dollars . After two months they sent me 250 dollars.
What a joke of a bank. We will open our business account elsewhere. I cannot even see how anyone would run their bank like this. It's like they want you to fail just to prop up their stocks and bonuses.
They do all these things to their employees too. They do everything they can to make the job difficult and hard they provide0 assistance to the employees and expect 110% effectiveness only focus on what they do not 119% they asked: what could you do better? Every day they ask " how can we make it better?" When we offer input we get shut down.
Just wanted to say that 3 1/2 years later your words ring true. I am closing our account this month. Fees galore, terrible online banking, and I have been sitting on hold for 20 minutes to get some online banking support. Credit unions are just soooooo much better. Dealing with them is so damn infuriating.
